Caroline Lovett - Customer Service and Resources
Caroline’s session on customer service and resources was a standout, offering practical tools and strategies for enhancing customer interactions. Her approach emphasized the importance of effective communication and the role of resources in creating seamless, positive experiences for all customers. Caroline’s practical tips and engaging style made this session a highlight of the conference.

Wayne Clift - Tourism Group
Wayne’s session focused on the future of information centres, exploring funding opportunities and the digital transformation of these vital resources. His insights on adapting to technological advancements and securing funding for innovation were invaluable, highlighting the growing importance of digital solutions in tourism.

Therese Phillips - Tourism Events Queensland
Therese provided a fantastic overview of the Destination IQ and Destination Q conference, sharing the vision and strategies aimed at growing Queensland’s tourism sector. Her presentation sparked a lot of great conversations about collaboration and the potential for ongoing success in tourism across the state and the digital tools and growth that will affect the industry into the future.

Michell Weston - Caravanning Queensland
Michell’s presentation on trends in caravanning was an eye-opener, offering a comprehensive look at the current and emerging trends in the caravanning industry. Her session touched on the growing demand for caravanning experiences and how tourism operators can tap into this market to provide memorable and engaging experiences.

Petina Tieman - Complete Business Solutions
A big thank you goes to Petina Tieman for sharing her valuable insights into indigenous products, training, and development for First Nations experiences. Her presentation offered a deeper understanding of how incorporating indigenous culture and knowledge into tourism can enrich experiences and empower First Nations communities. Petina's expertise and passion for this important area were truly inspiring.

Kathleen Maher - Brisbane Welcomes You Program
We would also like to thank Kathleen Maher for her insightful presentation on the Queensland Welcomes You program, which will soon be rolled out across all regions in Queensland. Kathleen's session provided a comprehensive look at how this program will help enhance the visitor experience and foster welcoming, inclusive communities across the state.

In addition to these incredible presentations, we were also fortunate to experience the beauty and culture of the South Burnett Region through the study tours. These tours provided a deeper understanding of the local community, its rich history, and the opportunities for collaboration within the region.
