Description

Spicers Hidden Vale is a gem, an uncomplicated escape just an hour’s drive from Brisbane that combines the style and comfort of a luxury retreat with the warmest of country welcomes. Designed in the style of a traditional Australian homestead from a bygone era, with beautifully restored cottages scattered through the distinctive grounds, the emphasis is on providing a charming country welcome without compromising on luxury – a perfect Queensland getaway. Dine in our Homage restaurant - recently relocated to the existing rustic barn, by our market garden after devastating fire in the historic homestead in April 2018. As the name suggests, Homage will continue to pay due respect to the land, the local farmers, the produce itself, and of course the history of our retreat. The menus are inspired by the local produce that they hand select daily. As a result, it is a menu that changes constantly based on what is harvested that day. Whether it’s fresh seasonal vegetables handpicked from our market garden or local Freshwater Cray, this is dining in its purest form. Whether you choose to make the most of the many on-site attractions such as Spa Anise, the tennis court, swimming pools or archery ranges or you decide to spread your wings and take off into the great outdoors on foot, mountain bike or 4WD, Spicers Hidden Vale is as generous in new experiences as it is in spirit.
